Seventeen-year-old Katie Thompson can see ghosts, a terrifying curse triggered by her brother's tragic death. To help her heal, Katie's exhausted parents send her to a recovery center. This forces Katie and her estranged mother, Tami, onto a long-distance train to Washington. As old family tensions flare, Katie receives ghostly warnings of a sinister presence on board. Tami is skeptical at first. However, she must soon face the truth about her daughter's gift and the darkness around them. Now, mother and daughter must confront their past and the paranormal before this deadly train ride ends.
