This show is notable for occurring on the first anniversary of former star Hana Kimura's death, and several roster members were in Tokyo for a commemorative event put on by her mother, Kyoko Kimura, instead. However, the semi-main event featured an arguable tribute match between Giulia and Mayu Iwatani, forever connected to Kimura by being part of her last feud and very last match, respectively.
